Pasta Nera

In Venice, I ate a lot of food. A lot of it was pastry, but the winner was probably this amazing dish of squid ink pasta typical of the region. August 18th, 2015

Italy_2015 - 89

The reason we came to Italy in the middle of August, a month where everything is closed for summer and it’s hot as hell, was because we wanted to attend Rotella’s Porco Festival. It’s a three day festival celebrating pork in all it’s forms. The entire town comes together to put on this festival which attracts huge crowds for such a tiny village.
